City of Brantford corporate energy plan

IndEco is working with staff from the City of Brantford in the Facilities and Asset Management department to develop a Corporate Energy Management Plan to guide the City’s energy initiatives over the next 5 years. This plan will fulfill the reporting and planning requirements of Regulation 397/11 set out under the Green Energy Act.

“The IndEco team takes complicated concepts; and makes them understandable to those that need to use them. In our case, that was for the reporting and planning requirements of Regulation 397/11.”

– Brian Byrnes, Senior Advisor Ontario Ministry of Energy

The overall objectives of the Plan are to establish corporate goals and objectives for conserving energy and managing energy demand; identify energy efficiency measures, costs, and savings; and identify opportunities to invest in renewable energy sources. This will be done through building audits, best practices research, data analysis, benchmarking, and strategic planning.

The final plan will build upon the City’s current energy initiatives and will provide a roadmap for corporate energy excellence.
