IndEco provides successful ERIP event for Welland Hydro
Monday, 01 March 2010
Josh Shook from IndEco provided an overview of ERIP as the Ontario Power Authority's (OPA's) key energy conservation program for commercial businesses and outlined the program benefits and context. He then explained the types of applications a customer can make under the program, the retrofit opportunities, and the process to submit an application for an incentive. Anthony Ho from Finn Projects provided a detailed demonstration of the application process.
The information session wrapped up with a lively round of questions and discussion about the program.
- “Over the last 2 years, we have partnered exclusively with IndEco Strategic Consulting to present the ERIP program to our commercial consumers during our annual ERIP information sessions. Throughout the entire process (from the planning stage to the follow-up consultation), IndEco staff consistently conducts themselves in a friendly and professional manner. On the day of the event, IndEco staff arrives prepared, and well in advance to ensure set-up goes smoothly. Their presentations are tailored to suit the audience resulting in effective knowledge transfer and positive results. I would highly recommend IndEco Strategic Consulting to anyone who is thinking about hosting an ERIP event.”

Approximately 30 Welland Hydro customers and channel partners attended the event, many of whom had specific retrofit projects in mind that may qualify for the program.
In 2009 we provided a very successful turnkey ERIP marketing and promotion package for Brant County Power and Brantford Power that involved an information session promoted through media advertising and direct telephone marketing. In 2008, we provided an ERIP information session for Welland Hydro and a series of live internet-based video conferencing ERIP events ('webinars') for Barrie Hydro. In 2007, when the OPA launched ERIP, we provided marketing and promotion as well as program administration services for ERIP for 11 Ontario local distribution companies (LDCs), including Welland Hydro and other members of the Niagara Erie Power Alliance.
