CDM graduates and facilitators

On June 7 and 8, eight new CDM Specialists graduated from the CDM Specialist certificate program offered by The MEARIE Group and IndEco. Pictured above, front L-R: Jenna Holzschuh (Burlington Hydro), Michelle Justice (North Bay Hydro), Judy Simon (VP of IndEco), Amy Snook (Consultant, IndEco), Kathleen Cea (Burman Energy); back L-R: Brooke Suurna (PUC Services), Peter Hajek (HD Supply), Ryan Roopnaraine (Wellington North Power), Lori Rice (Hydro One Remote Communities), Duane Orth (ERTH Power Corp).

These CDM professionals completed seven courses: Introduction to CDM, CDM Economics, CDM Programming, CDM EM&V, CDM Marketing, Introduction to the Ontario Energy Board, and CDM Customer Service. The courses were part lecture, part group exercises, and part trivia quizzes. Among other things, they defined market segments, developed Board-Approved Program ideas, created marketing plans, evaluated regulatory documents, performed TRC calculations, role played, and mapped out program logic models. For this effort, participants were rewarded with chocolate prizes, new programming confidence, colleagues they can call with CDM challenges, and the designation of 'CDM Specialist.' Congratulations is in order!

Below are some of the testimonials received from the courses:
