Course summary & objective
This one-day course will give participants a basic understanding of the OEB, its roles and responsibilities, how it functions and the different types of interactions that it has with electric LDCs.
Course outline
- What is the OEB? -- general overview of the OEB and its composition, including Board Members, Board Staff, committees etc.
- Roles and responsibilities of the OEB
- How the OEB functions -- written and oral hearings, informal proceedings etc.
- LDC interactions with the OEB
- How to participate in OEB activities
The Introduction to the Ontario Energy Board and Utility Regulation is one of seven courses being offered by Mearie that IndEco staff will be leading. Participants that successfully complete all seven CDM based training courses will be eligible for a MEARIE CDM Specialist Certificate.
