Shona is a senior consultant with extensive experience in a broad range of environmental and energy issues,with a special focus on energy conservation and demand management and demand side management (CDM/DSM). She has a strong background in physical and environmental science and an excellent understanding of the interdisciplinary nature of energy and environmental management.

Since joining the IndEco team in 2003, Shona’s consulting projects have included diverse aspects of CDM/DSM including strategic planning, program development, program management and implementation, program evaluation and stakeholder consultation. Recently Shona was a lead facilitator for the Ontario Energy Board’s Conservation Working Group and emergency Financial Assistance Working Group in the development of programs specifically for low-income energy consumers. Shona is also the project manager for the the comprehensive energy management and engagement program for University Health Network which includes community-based social marketing, employee engagement, retrocommissioning and operator training, the development and implementation of a comprehensive energy plan for each of the 3 member hospitals and annual process and impact program evaluations. Shona has also done extensive work on CDM/DSM best practices.

Shona brings a variety of skills to the IndEco team, including excellent research and writing, organizational and consultative skills. Shona has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto and a Master's of Science in Geography from the University of Guelph.
