IndEco has in the past few years developed a number of community energy plans under the Government of Ontario Municipal of Energy Plan program.  The MEP program encourages municipalities to create energy plans that promote the use of clean energy and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. As a result of this work, IndEco has identified a disconnect between the municipalities developing the plans and conservation and demand management (CDM) activities undertaken by the local electric utilities. Using a case study of an energy plan developed for the City of Kingston, Shona and Caitlin will examine the causes of this “disconnect” and present solutions to bridge the gap between these activities.

The Association of Energy Service Professionals (AESP) is a member-based association dedicated to improving the delivery and implementation of energy efficiency, energy management and distributed renewable resources.
